Editorial Policy

Reseau EDM covers electronic dance music as a living culture: artists and records, clubs and festivals, production tools, visual language and the systems behind the experience. Our aim is to give listeners, festivalgoers, DJs, producers, promoters and emerging artists accurate context and practical guidance they can use.

Accuracy and useful context

Factual accuracy is the foundation of our coverage. Details that can change—including event dates, lineups, ticket information, venue rules, release credits, equipment features, product options and prices—are checked at the time of writing. Calculations identify their assumptions and units.

Every article should answer a clear reader question. We explain why a development, track, performance, workflow or creative choice matters instead of simply repeating an announcement. We include relevant limitations, tradeoffs and unresolved details when they could affect a reader’s decision.

Sources and attribution

Source selection depends on the claim. Research may draw on artists and labels, festivals and venues, music-industry publications, chart or streaming data, DJ and production-equipment manufacturers, ticketing platforms, direct interviews and public social posts. We use direct sources for official details and current specifications where possible, while reporting and data can add context or corroborate a claim.

Information and quotations from other parties are attributed clearly. A source’s proximity to the subject, currency and relevance all matter: a promotional announcement, a personal post and a reported article offer different kinds of evidence.

Evidence, illustration and opinion

We separate reported facts from interpretation and editorial judgment. Opinions and recommendations are presented as such and should rest on concrete reasoning. Hypothetical examples or generated illustrations may explain an idea, but are not presented as real events or observed results.

Firsthand attendance, testing, interviews or production experience are described only when documented for the article. Otherwise, evaluations rely on available sources, specifications and clearly stated criteria. We do not imply that a product, venue or event was personally tested when it was not.

Corrections and reader feedback

When a material factual error is identified, we correct the affected copy. We may also update coverage when new developments would leave readers with outdated guidance. Differences in taste or interpretation are considered separately from factual mistakes.
